HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Alec Woodward drew a foul in the backcourt to start overtime by hitting three straight free throws and Roscoe Eastmond hit a 3-pointer as Southeastern Louisiana opened on a 8-2 run and the Lions held on to post an 89-84 win over Lamar on Saturday.

Roger McFarlane had 16 points contributed eight rebounds and five assists for the Lions (8-8). Woodard scored 16 points and added five rebounds. Nick Caldwell recorded 15 points and shot 5 of 7 from the field and 4 for 6 from the line.

Nate Calmese finished with 23 points and five assists for the Cardinals (4-12). Chris Pryor added 19 points and five assists for Lamar. In addition, Yuto Yamanouchi-Williams finished with 14 points and 19 rebounds. The Cardinals prolonged their losing streak to seven in a row.

Both teams next play Thursday. SE Louisiana visits Texas A&M-CC and Lamar hosts Nicholls State.
