WGNO News obtained cell phone video that shows the aftermath of a club fight connected to performer Keyshia Cole and her NBA player husband, Daniel “Booby” Gibson.
Gibson surrendered to New Orleans police Monday morning in connection with the case. He posted bond on a felony battery charge and was released.
According to the man who shot the video, the couple was leaving the Metropolitan club in the Warehouse District on July 8 a little after 5:00 in the morning when someone said something about Cole that Gibson didn’t like.
“He was definitely provoked. He was minding his own business, trying to leave. The guy says something foul to him, disrespecting Keyshia Cole. He did what a regular gentleman would to and protected his lady,” the man told WGNO News.
According to police, Gibson hit a man and broke his jaw.
