ALGIERS, La. (WGNO) — A man is behind bars following an early morning shooting in Algiers.

26-year-old Stanley Alexander has been booked on aggravated battery and domestic abuse charges.

Reports show around 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, Alexander and a woman were in the 3400 block of Garden Oaks Drive arguing.

That’s when police say Alexander shot the woman.

She was taken to the hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
