BATON ROUGE, La. (WGNO) – The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved a plan to restructure the University of New Orleans.
The approved plan, presented by UNO President Peter Fos, called for the elimination of 7 of the University’s degree programs and the elimination of the entire geography department.
President Fos says that the restructuring is necessary for the university to remain financially viable.
The 3 stage plan was presented to the UL Board of Supervisors on November 26th.
