LAFOURCHE PARISH (WGNO) — Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Angelle Andras on charges including DWI (3rd Offense), Interfering with a Law Enforcement Investigation, Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and driving under suspension.
Police say on Tuesday morning deputies responded to a vehicle crash in the 2600 block of Choctaw Road in Choctaw. During the investigation, deputies learned a man crashed into a mailbox while trying to avoid a head-on crash with another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle confronted the man and identified herself as Angelle Andras. She fled the scene after telling the man that she was pregnant and her water had just broken.
Andras later returned to the scene and confessed to deputies she was consuming alcoholic beverages prior to the crash. Deputies conducted a breathalyzer test which determined Andras to have a blood alcohol level of .08g%.
