UPDATE: The officer’s personal vehicle was recovered yesterday  (August 6), around 5:27pm, near Utah Street and Memorial Park Drive in Algiers. The other stolen property was not recovered.

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – NOPD officer is missing his personal car,  firearm and taser cartridge. They were stolen in the fourth district around eleven o’clock at night.

The officer parked and locked his gray 2008 Nissan 4-door Altima outside his residence. A few minutes later, when the officer went back outside he noticed this vehicle was missing. The officer’s department-issued Glock Model 22 .40 caliber pistol, a fully-charged magazine for the firearm, a cartridge for a TASER and the officer’s NOPD credentials were inside the vehicle.
