KENNER, La. (WGNO) – Kenner Police have arrested a man they say broke into a home in the 200 block Clemson Place and raped a 28-year-old woman on December 15th, 2013.
Detectives say that 24-year-old Brandon Watkins was identified by a DNA match taken from evidence collected during the investigation.
Officers were able to track Watkins down to a home in Independence, Louisiana and was taken into custody.
Watkins is currently being held in Jefferson Parish Jail.
His bond has not been set.
Watkins was on parole for a previous burglary conviction at the time of the rape.
