COVINGTON, La. (WGNO) – The Covington Police have arrested a man that they say repeatedly stalked a female employee of a local business.

Investigators say that Frederick Mayeaux entered a business and committed lewd acts in front of the woman on three separate occasions.

Each time he entered the store, detectives say Mayeaux made purchases with his debit card and while the woman was completing the transaction, he would overtly touch his genitals and become aroused.

Detectives say that they were able to use Mayeaux’s debit card transactions to identify him.

they say the victim was also able to identify Mayeaux through a photographic line-up.

Wednesday, Mayeaux was arrested and charged with one count of stalking and was transported to the St. Tammany Parish Jail.
