NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Mardi Gras 2016 is officially over.

At the stroke of midnight, the NOPD and State Police marched down Bourbon Street led by Mayor Mitch Landrieu, NOPD Superintendent Michael Harrison, and Louisiana State Police Col. Mike Edmonson telling revelers that Mardi Gras 2016 was officially over.

The NOPD says they confiscated 30-guns in the two-weeks  of proactive patrols along the parade routes this Carnival season.
