Murder Is Second In Jefferson Parish Hotel In 8 Days
Kenner Police are investigating the murder of a woman who was found in a hotel room on Monday night at about 9:45.
Officers were called to the Comfort Suites hotel at 2710 Idaho Avenue, where they found Anita McDonald, 22, dead of apparent strangulation.
Kenner Chief Steve Caraway said McDonald’s death is similar to that of Jateese Hudgins, 21, who was found strangled at the LaQuinta Inn in Metairie on August 15. Both McDonald, of Flowood, Miss., and Hudgins, of Pennsylvania, have prior arrests for prostitution.
Caraway stopped short of calling the deaths the work of the same killer, but he said he was discussing the cases with Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s deputies to determine if they were related.
