TERREBONNE PARISH (WGNO) – A man from Houma has admitted to inappropriately touching a 3-year-old child he baby sat, authorities said Friday.
The victim’s mother told police about the alleged rape last week after the child complained of being hurt by the babysitter.
Cobey Roberts, 41, was as the babysitter. Upon questioning he admitted to police that he did babysit for the victim and that he inappropriately touched the child.
Prosecutors charged Roberts with aggravated rape. His bond was set at $1,000,000. If convicted Roberts could spend life in prison.
