A star-studded red carpet event drew thousands to the Warehouse District.
And it was all to benefit youth of New Orleans.

Energy and excitement filled the Warehouse District of New Orleans for the annual
fundraising food festival, The Emeril Lagasse Foundation’s Boudin, Bourbon and Beer.
“I’m pumped, I’m pumped really excited to eat the good food,” Trent Davidson said. “It smells great. ”
The festival has fast become one of the city’s premiere culinary red carpet events.
Trotter asked, “How excited are you? “I’m very excited,” Delta Kuzenski replied. “What are you looking forward to?
“The people, and the food.”
“Well of course seeing Emeril and all of the fabulous chiefs who are here tonight doing all of the wonderful things for the children,” Mindy McCelvey said.
“We’re so excited; the generosity from this community is most appreciated,” Foundation Executive Director Kristin Shannon said.
An estimated 4-thousand guests are expected to enjoy the mouthwatering creations from more than 40-top chefs.
Trotter asked, “Did you come hungry? “Absolutely! Empty stomach, ready to eat,” McCelvey replied.
Trotter asked, “I saw you sampling something what was that? “Boudin ball,” Frank Burnett replied. “And you’re thoughts? Delicious.”
Foundation co-founders are excited about the turn-out because it means big benefits that will support youth programs; including education, nutrition, and life-skills.
Trotter asked Emeril Lagasse, “How are you feeling tonight? “I’m feeling pretty good. I’m feeling great for new Orleans, I’m feeling great for the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, more importantly my friend I’m feeling good for the children who this is going to benefit,” Lagasse replied.
“I do a lot of events around the country and this one is always my favorite because I know where the money is going,” Chef Donald Link said. “I know what it’s for I know it’s for New Orleans.”
The fundraising continues Saturday night with the 9th annual Carnivale Du Vin.
