(WGNO) – The New Orleans Police Department is looking for a man in connection with a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 26-year-old man.

Police believe 24-year-old Wellington Cornin is the person responsible.

The shooting happened in an apartment complex on the 3300 block of Garden Oaks Drive.

The victim was shot multiple times and taken to the hospital where he later dies.

If you have seen Cornin or know where he is, you’re asked to call police.
