NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Six Bourbon Street bars and strip clubs will get alcohol permits back after cutting a deal with the state. Permits were suspended after investigators with the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control discovered the clubs were allowing drug activity and sex trafficking.

Temptations, Lipstixx, Centerfolds, The Mansion on Bourbon, Bourbon Cowboy and The Swamp on Bourbon have all reached an agreement with ATC.

The clubs will now hire outside security, install cameras, and participate in a program against sex trafficking.

All will also pay fines and will be on probation for a year.

“ATC hopes that this ruling sends a strong message that we are serious in doing our part to help protect the French Quarter so that it can remain a strong, economic engine for New Orleans and the entire state,” stated Commissioner Troy Hebert.

Nine French Quarter strip clubs and bars had their alcohol permits suspended as a result of Louisiana Alcohol and Tobacco Control’s “Operation Trick or Treat” investigation.
