NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department reported a homicide in the 4600 block of Lafon Street on Thursday morning.
According to an initial report, the NOPD received the call at about 5:06 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found one victim suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
On Monday, March 21, the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 15-year-old Rodkeys Deion Petty. His preliminary cause of death has been listed as a gunshot wound.
