She’s won four Emmys and a Golden Globe Award.  And three Screen Actors Guild Awards.

She’s Alfre Woodard.

WGNO News with a Twist features guy Wild Bill Wood  says there’s no better person on the planet to turn around a New Orleans school than actress Alfre Woodard.

She does it with the help of other creative people like Graham Nash, member of the popular 1970s folk-rock band Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

The school that’s getting the attention is ReNEW Dolores T. Aaron Academy Turnaround Arts School in New Orleans East.
