NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)- All September is daiquiri season in New Orleans. Tales of the Cocktail is celebrating with 43 different kinds of specialty daiquiris. 43 bars and restaurants are serving up their version of a frozen or unfrozen daiquiri.
Every Friday night in the month of September, there’s a daiquiri tour you can take to try some of the specialty daiquiris. You get to do so on a special bus, a bus that Beyonce rode on, and News with a Twist Reporter Kenny Lopez got on the bus for this tasty tour!
30 days of daiquiris, all part of Tales of the Cocktail’s daiquiri season.
“It’s really just to celebrate the iconic daiquiri of New Orleans and Louisiana,” Ann Tuennerman, Founder of Tales of the Cocktail, said.
To celebrate the season you can get on the “Club Mayweather Party bus” to try some of the daiquiris. And it’s not just any bus, it is the exact same bus that Beyonce used to film her music video for her hit song, “Sorry.”
A bus that’s Beyonce approved, and from the looks of it these daiquiri drinkin’ dancin’ folks approve of it too!
On our Daiq attack tour we made stops at the Ace Hotel, Rusty Nail, Tiki Tolteca, Felipe’s, and ended the tour at Gene’s Daiquiri shop.
