KENNER, La (WGNO) – Last year a life altering event changed the Langheinz’s family. Koen Langheinz was 11 months old when he had a brain aneurysm in the backseat of his mom’s car. He was rushed to Ochsner Hospital for Children where it was discovered that Koen had Moyamoya disease — a rare blood vessel disorder which over time reduces blood flow to the brain.
Koen spent several months in child life development at Ochsner. But now his family wants to give back. They’ve set up a toy drive in Koen’s name so that other kids staying at Ochsner can feel more at home.
Here’s the address if you would like to donate toys or DVDs to Ochsner. An Amazon registry has also been created.
