NEW ORLEANS, La. (WGNO) – Looking for something new to believe in? Have you heard of the Cult of the Drunken Wookie? It’s a new religion created by the Krewe of Chewbacchus.
“Instead of just saying that the Krewe of Chewbaccus was a cult this year, we actually instituted it as a real religion,” Ryan Ballard told WGNO.
The Cult of the Drunken Wookie is officially a real religion, and as part of their 50c3 status they also created a path to ordainment.
If you wish to be a minister of the Cult of the Drunken Wookie, you have to answer a single question on their website. The question: “What is the answer to life, the universe and everything?”
The ministers of the religion will then be able to conduct weddings. The group will have their first wedding officiated by a minister of the religion in November.
