NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department began investigating a deadly shooting Tuesday night.

Officers were called to a shooting incident in the 4300 block of Dodt Avenue.

When police arrived on the scene, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot injury.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

On Friday, February 25, the New Orleans Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 20-year-old Christian Carrie. His preliminary cause of death has been listed as a gunshot wound.

This is an ongoing investigation.
