COVINGTON, LA – At St. Paul’s School, the boys are gone for summer.

And the Class of 2016 is gone, forever.

Well, almost.

WGNO News with a Twist features reporter Wild Bill Wood runs into Class of 2016 grad Grant Fowler.

Grant just graduated a few weeks ago. But now he’s back on campus.

Grant returns for one last look at his senior project.  It’s the project he created for engineering class.

It’s blue, hot rod blue.  It weighs 185 pounds.  It’s got three wheels and it moves at a speed of about 80 mph.

Most high school kids have projects that are more like research papers.

Grant Fowler created a car.

Wild Bill wonders if the Henry Ford in him took time away from his other classes.  And Grant confesses, he did walk out of history class once to create it.

Grant takes you along for his test drive.  The car can roll down the road for 800 miles before he has to make a pit stop and plug the thing in to re-charge it.

Grant says the car also talks.

So Wild Bill says hello to the car.  And the car answers back that his name is Jarvis!

You’ll get to hear what kind of accent Jarvis speaks with as he lets the world know that he’s better than just about everything that’s on the road.
