HARVEY, La. (WGNO) – The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for a teen accused of shooting and killing a 17-year-old boy in Harvey.
According to investigators, the victim’s brother called the sheriff’s office shortly before 3 a.m. Thursday and said his brother had been shot near the corner of Westmere and Post streets in Harvey.
The 17-year-old has been identified as Reginald Black of 4025 North Windmere Dr. Black was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect has been identified as 18-year-old Ivory “Duce” Franklin.
A witness said that he was also shot at but jumped into a nearby canal to escape.
