NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)- It’s happily ever after for a Hurricane Katrina hero.
Kenny Bellau got married last night at the Louisiana State Museum in the French Quarter.
Bellau rescued over 400 people during Katrina using a boat he found, which is now on display at the museum in Jackson Square.
Bellau proposed to his now wife, Candy Johnson in front of the boat, so they felt it was fitting to get married in the same spot.
Bellau’s currently writing a memoir. He’s calling it, “The King of Uptown.”
