METAIRIE, La. (WGNO)- This morning around 9 a.m., Detectives with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office were called out to Bonnabel High School where a 14-year old student from Kenner was bleeding from the face. The female victim told detectives that she was walking in the hallway when another student cut her in the face with an eyebrow razor. The victim was cut on the lip and immediately taken to Ochsner Medical Center. Her injuries are non-life threatening.
Detectives say that the student who stabbed the victim, is a 15-year old female student at Bonnabel High School. The suspect was taken into custody and booked on one count of Aggravated Battery.
Bonnabel High School was placed on lock down to safely secure the school. The lock down was lifted about an hour and a half later.
Students tell WGNO News that the two students were fighting over a boy.
