The Louisiana High School Athletic Association could strip John Curtis Christian school of as many as 20 victories in a ruling involving former Patriots tackle and current LSU Tiger Willie Allen.

Reached by phone Monday night, head coach JT Curtis said the school will be allowed to appeal the ruling in a scheduled meeting of the LHSAA Executive Committee Wednesday in Baton Rouge.

Curtis said the total of wins that the school could forfeit is about 20. And, he says John Curtis has done nothing wrong.

Curtis said the LHSAA told him that Allen living with assistant coach Jerry Godfrey was an attempt to “retain” the player. Curtis said Allen was already at Curtis for a year and a half when he moved in with Godfrey and his family.

“We didn’t try to hide anything,” said Curtis by phone Monday night. “ESPN did a story on it. It was in newspapers.”

John Curtis has won 25 state titles. The last was in 2013.
