NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The Lamborghini involved in a fatal crash on Tchoupitoulas was leased by the Uptown plastic surgeon facing rape and voyeurism charges, according to the lawyer representing the family of the fatal crash victim.

Steven DeBosier, attorney for the family of Kristi Lirette, said the Lamborghini that Jason Adams was driving the night he allegedly lost control and crashed was leased by Dr. Alireza Sadeghi. Lirette, 23, died in the crash.

Adams, 30, was arrested Tuesday for vehicular homicide. Prosecutors said Adams had a blood alcohol content of .11 and was driving 118 mph at the time of the crash. He was released Tuesday evening on a $75,000 bond.

Sadeghi, meanwhile, was indicted last week on charges of rape and voyeurism. Prosecutors also allege that Sadeghi, 40, had naked pictures of children and patients on his cell phone.

DeBosier said although Adams owns a similar or matching Lamborghini, but the one involved in the crash was leased by Sadeghi.

Sadeghi and Adams are business partners for Axis Ventures, DeBosier said.

A spokeswoman for the lawyers representing Sadeghi did not deny that Sadeghi was leasing the Lamborghini in question, but did say that he does not own the car and had no knowledge or involvement in the fatal crash.
