NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) —  One of the cases in the latest Wheel of Justice report has a $10,000 reward.  It involves an armed robbery investigation on Tulane’s campus.  According to the NOPD, a man wearing a coat and winter hat used a weapon to target three students at the Lavin-Bernick student center.  Police say the robber forced the students to withdraw money from a nearby ATM.  One of the victims was carrying no cash or bank card, but the other two complied.  If you recognize the person in the security camera photo, you could get a big reward for your tip!

Wednesday’s Wheel of Justice report also included the search for a man who is accused of abandoning a child following a police chase.  It happened in Kenner last Tuesday.  According to police, they got into a brief car chase that started in Kenner and ended at North Howard and Shirley streets in Metairie.  They say the arrested one man at the scene who had heroin.  He’s identified as 39-year-old Corey Daniels.  But the driver of the car, identified as 35-year-old Ron Daniels, was able to escape on foot.  Inside of the car, police say they found the sons of the men, ages 2 and 4, who were crying for their fathers.  The kids were given to other family members, and the search is on for Adams.

Finally, the way the NOPD tells the story, 44-year-old Tricia Smith Sauvenet isn’t a very good friend.  They say she stole her friend’s wedding rings, valued at about $16,000 from the friend’s home then pawned the jewelry.  As soon as she’s arrested, she’ll be booked with theft.
