UPDATE: The NOPD has named 19-year-old Ronnisha Kelley as the suspect in Saturday night’s stabbing inside a Bourbon Street club.

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a female wanted for stabbing two women earlier Saturday morning around 1:56 a.m., at the “Funky 544” nightclub located at 544 Bourbon Street.

A 35-year-old woman told police she and her 22-year-old friend were inside of the club partying when an unknown black female bumped into her.

The victim stated she corrected the female when a verbal altercation ensued. The suspect began to yell profanities towards the victims and a fight started.

The victim stated the suspect who was accompanied by an unknown white female reached into her boot and pulled out an unknown object and stabbed both victims multiple times and fled.

The victim stated she realized she had been stabbed when she observed her 22-year-old friend fall to the floor. Both victims were transported to the hospital for the injuries they sustained during the altercation.

The suspect was described as a black female, 5’7” tall, medium build, blonde curly wig, wearing a black top with straps, blacks pants and red and black boots.
