DARE COUNTY, N.C. — Road clean-up crews ditched the shovels and grabbed a machine to remove an 800-pound alligator found dead along a highway in North Carolina Sunday night.
According to a local TV station, WAVY, the alligator had been struck by a car and died just before midnight.
The alligator was over 12-feet long and weighed at least 800 pounds.
